Decision No. 440/9 of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Cadastre (Government Gazette B’ 5454/08.09.2026) introduces, as of 18 September 2026, a new digital procedure for correcting the geometric data of registered properties through the dedicated “metavoles” online platform.
The new framework implements Articles 7–10 of Law 5142/2024 and, as a general rule, replaces the previous procedure under Article 19(2) of Law 2664/1998 for the correction of cadastral geometric data, as well as the “obvious error” procedure concerning the geometric data of land parcels.
🔹 Applications will be submitted electronically through the metavoles platform, using Taxisnet credentials. They may be filed by the interested party or an authorised representative, including the engineer responsible for preparing and electronically submitting the Diagram of Geometric Changes.
🔹 Once submitted, the application is automatically registered in the National Cadastre information system and recorded in the cadastral sheets of both the applicant’s property and any properties potentially affected by the requested correction.
🔹 Affected neighbouring owners or co-owners may submit objections electronically, which must be fully and adequately reasoned and may be supported by relevant technical or other evidence.
🔹 The framework also provides for electronic appeals before the competent Second-Level Body, while judicial review before the competent Cadastral Judge remains available in accordance with the statutory requirements.
🔹 During the transitional period, until automated digital service becomes technically operational, the initial service of the correction application must still be carried out through a court bailiff at the applicant’s initiative.
The reform represents an important step towards the digitalisation and acceleration of cadastral geometric corrections in Greece, with electronic case management, automated registration and direct incorporation of final decisions into the Cadastre’s digital spatial database.
